35 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

The Art of Sequencing

Create a Transformative Experience

Do you get bored with teaching the same class patterns and poses? Stuck in a rut with similar flows and themes? Do you wonder if your regulars are still inspired?

We go a layer deeper in this training, and learn how to bring the purpose of a class alive through movement. Can our classes mirror the natural ebb and flow of the creative life-force energy that surrounds us? This training helps us reconnect to the purpose of our classes and teaching as we work with the energetic framework of Vinyasa Yoga. Are we just delivering a series of postures, or do we have a clear intention that is embodied in each wave of movement. Is each posture purposefully chosen to create a meaningful experience for our clients? Can moving your body in a new way awaken something within you? Could changing our habits on the mat help us to change our habits off the mat?

Vinyasa yoga mirrors life force energies, which is why it creates a sense of a journey or experience. We feel connected to something greater, we feel we are in the flow of life. Each pose doesn’t stand alone, isolated or apart. Each pose is connected to the next, not an end in of itself, but the foundation for the potentiality of the next pose. We aim to make transitions seamless and connected so that students feel like the class is one whole, each pose is connected, not fragmented part.

Who is creative sequencing training for?

GET CREATIVE

If you love to be creative this training is for you. If you struggle to be creative this training is also for you!

Vinyasa is the most popular style of yoga world wide for good reason! Students love to move their bodies in different ways. So much of our life is predictable and mundane so many are looking for an experience to break them out of the rut and provide inspiration!

Move beyond cat cow and find never-ending possibilities on how to start your class! Find new templates to flow through standing poses that you have never even thought of. Find fresh ideas on how to cool and calm students towards the end of a class instead of the same predictable seated poses.

Neuroscience can explain why we love novelty and why it drives us to actively seek out new experiences. We learn better when we are practicing something new because we pay more attention and we come back for more because it gives us a healthy dopamine hit.

EXPAND YOUR TEACHING

This training is suitable for any teacher who has or is currently completing a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. The only prerequisite is knowledge of basic asana. A 200 hour Vinyasa Training only covers the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what creative sequencing can offer. In this training we take a deep dive into the endless possibilities.

If you haven’t taught since you gained your qualification this training will help reinvigorate the desire to and confidence to teach. If you learnt a traditional or modern set sequence like Ashtanga or Power Yoga and you want to try something different, this is the perfect bridge training to help you expand your repertoire and learn how to sequence your own creative classes. Equally, if you learnt a non-flowing Hatha or Iyengar style and you would like to explore Vinyasa Yoga with a reputable school this could be a great introduction.

If your base level training did not include sequencing training, its very important to have training before starting to create your own class plans otherwise you will find yourself copying bits and pieces of other classes without ever learning the key underlying principles of how to sequence.

Here why our students love our Creative Sequencing

“ Bec’s classes are a magical journey! I love how her creative sequences blend one asana into another so smoothly and effortlessly. There is a beautiful mystery to what comes next - a dash of unpredictability which makes Bec’s classes interesting and unique. Her imaginative take on transitioning to poses means that I use my muscles differently and its a lot of fun when you can’t predict what comes next”

— Alice

“ I highly recommend Bec’s classes. They are creative and unique and calming and fun. Bec has the ability to read the room, a skill set that is not available to all, and with that Bec tailors her class in a creative and innovative way that suits the participants on the day. In my view, creative sequencing keeps yoga participants engaged and achieving their intentions for their practice. I would highly recommend Bec’s classes and her ability to work with yoga teachers to increase their creative flow practices.”
